Murdoch University has announced its response to feedback from staff on two key issues that form part of its proposed Enterprise Agreement, adjusting its offer to reflect the new position.
The decision comes after the University analysed feedback from staff, received through online surveys, this website and in public forums.
Feedback to date showed strong levels of support for proposed pay increases and enhanced leave benefits and flexibilities.
It also showed a majority of staff want a new Agreement reached before the end of this year.
However staff indicated there were some concerns about proposed changes to academic workloads and the handling of misconduct and unsatisfactory performance.
The University executive has given serious consideration to this feedback and made significant adjustments to the proposed offer in response.
The result is an update to clauses that reflects the value we place on our people and on finding an outcome that is good for our staff, as well as for the future of the University.
